VFR circulation

  • A flight plan to the APP is mandatory for VFR flights to or across the TMA; AFIL flight plans are not accepted.
  • SBRP: mandatory circuit entry points at Morro Piripau (east) and USP (west).
  • SBAQ: arrivals and departures via the USINA NORTE and USINA SUL gates.
  • SBYS: gliders from GND to FL100 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
  • VFR routes chart: REA CTR Ribeirão Preto

Remarks

  • The TMA is class A between FL145 and FL195 and class C between 5500 FT and FL145. The APP is split into eight sectors, and the Gavião Peixoto FIZ volume is excluded.
  • In the Ribeirão CTR, ATS surveillance is provided by Academia APP.
  • SBAQ (Araraquara) and SBGP (Gavião Peixoto) lie in class G FIZs, served by the local radio stations.
  • SBYS is the Air Force Academy: civil aircraft may only operate with authorization from the Academy command. SBGP requires prior authorization from the aerodrome administrator.
