VFR circulation

  • 121.150 MHz is the primary frequency for VFR traffic in the real world.
  • AFIL flight plans are not accepted, nor abbreviated flight plans filed by radiotelephony from the ground.
  • Helicopters in the South sector: minimum altitude 4100 FT (600 FT AGL).
  • Departures from aerodromes and heliports inside the ATZ projection must call the TWR before take-off.
  • Training and touch-and-go at SBBR are prohibited from 0800 to 1500 and from 2100 to 0100 UTC.

Remarks

  • The TMA is class A between FL145 and FL195 and class C between FL065 and FL145. The APP is split into eight sectors; sectors 05 to 08 handle northbound and southbound departures.
  • In the real world, a 3 NM minimum separation applies within 40 NM of SBBR.
  • ATZs have no class published in the AIP (ENR 2.2).
