Operations
Aerodrome Regulations
- AD approved for INTL cargo TFC and technical ALTN for direct INTL flights bound for SBGR/SBKP.
- All ACFT entering the São José CTR shall call APP São Paulo on FREQ 129.050.
- RNAV 5 routes departing from or arriving at the AD are exclusively for RNAV 1 or RNP 1 approved ACFT, due to the SID/STAR requirements of the São Paulo TMA.
- OBS VAC for joining or leaving the TFC circuit.
- Training FLT at the AD are subject to holding when there are test FLT and DEP/LDG OPS of commercial air transport ACFT.
- HEL on VFR FLT below the São Paulo TMA, including in the REH, shall squawk SSR code 0100.
- APP São Paulo will not accept AFIL flight plans from ACFT departing aerodromes without an AIS office located within the lateral limits of the São Paulo TMA.
Aprons and Taxiways
- Exit by pushback is mandatory on aprons 4 and 5 for ACFT with a wingspan above 20M, due to space limitations.
- TWY
E, section BTN the general aviation apron and THR 34: TAX with caution due to the visual restriction of TWR São José. - Pure jet engine run-ups are PRB on the parking apron in front of the CTA authorities' boarding lounge.
- If the run-up area cannot be used, engine run-ups must be done at THR 34, DLY 0300-0730, upon prior COORD with the AD operator.
Runways
- Once past the turn bay located 324M before THR 34, the ACFT will not be able to turn back, blocking the RWY for landings.
- ACFT with a wingspan greater than 45M that pass the turn bay at the displaced THR 34 will not be able to backtrack, due to the embankment at the end of the runway and Embraer obstacles and facilities.

- OBS ACFT and ultralights on training flights near the AD.
- OBS model aircraft flights SAT, SUN and HOL near the São José dos Campos flying club, in the SW sector of the AD.
- OBS concentration of birds on final APCH to RWY 34.
- OBS presence of birds (vultures) in the SW and W sectors of the AD and on final APCH to RWY 16, due to a landfill near the Rodovia dos Tamoios.
- Beware of possible unmanned hot-air balloons (festa junina balloons), mainly from MAY to AUG.
