Operations

Approaches and Landings

• ACFT on APCH to RWY 08: OBS cranes and ships passing on the Itajaí-Açu River, APRX 1000M from THR 08.
• The traffic circuit must be flown exclusively in the northwest sector of the AD.
• Minimum altitudes in the traffic circuit:
  • CAT A and CAT B ACFT: 1100FT AMSL / CAT C: prohibited;
  • Helicopters: 600FT AMSL.
• Joining the traffic circuit:
  • ACFT/HEL coming from the northwest/north/northeast sectors: fly towards the Containers Gate (Containers Yard) at a minimum altitude of 1400FT AMSL and, at the Containers Gate, start the descent to circuit altitude;
  • ACFT coming from the southwest/south/southeast sectors: fly towards the Foz Gate (abeam the mouth of the Itajaí River) at a minimum altitude of 1100FT AMSL, cross the AD and join the circuit in the northwest sector;
  • HEL coming from the southwest/south/southeast sectors: fly towards the Foz Gate at a minimum altitude of 1100FT AMSL, cross the AD and join the circuit in the northwest sector, starting the descent to traffic altitude when crossing the AD.
• Overflight of SBNF without landing: maintain a minimum altitude of 2400FT AMSL.

Aerodrome Regulations

• The AD may be used regularly by any ACFT compatible with RCD 4C or lower.
• Simultaneous operation of ACFT on the PRKG apron TWY with LDG and TKOF OPS of reference code 3 or 4 ACFT on RWY 08/26 in IMC is PRB.
• Simultaneous pushback operations with LDG and TKOF OPS of reference code 3 or 4 ACFT on RWY 08/26 in IMC are PRB.
• RWY 08/26: simultaneous OPS of ACFT with a wingspan of 24M or more with taxi OPS of any ACFT on the parking access taxiway parallel to the RWY are PRB in IMC.
• Transmission of simplified flight plans (PVS) by radiotelephony from the ground to ATS units is PRB.

Aprons and Taxiways

• Pushback is mandatory for ACFT above 20t when leaving the PRKG.
• ACFT positions 2, 3 and 4: use of ASU, GPU and LPU restricted due to noise.
• Engine run-ups AUTH only BTN 1000 and 2300.

Runways

• 180° turns (backtrack) by ACFT with an MTOW above 40t only at the THR.
• Type of operation per threshold:
  • THR 08: VFR day/night and non-precision IFR day/night;
  • THR 26: VFR day/night and non-precision IFR day/night.

Additional Information

• OBS ACFT on training flights near the AD.
• OBS concentration of birds along the sides of RWY 08/26 and near THR 08 (bare-faced ibis and southern lapwing).
• Kites at THR 08, THR 26 and in the TFC circuit, mainly in JAN, FEB, JUL and DEC.
