Approaches and Landings

• ACFT arriving at THR 33: beware of HEL TFC overflying the Iguaçu Falls at 1650FT AMSL.

Aerodrome Regulations

• The AD may be used regularly by any ACFT compatible with RCD 4C or lower.
• OBS VAC for joining or leaving the TFC circuit.
• The TFC circuits of the Foz TMA AD shall be flown as follows:
  • Foz do Iguaçu (SBFI): race-track pattern NNE of the RWY centerline;
  • Cataratas del Iguazu: race-track pattern SSW of the RWY centerline;
  • Ciudad del Este (Guarani): race-track pattern WNW of the RWY centerline;
  • Hernandarias (Itaipu): race-track pattern WNW of the RWY centerline.
• OPS over the Iguaçu River Falls shall be previously COOR and AUTH by Cataratas TWR, following the TFC circuit of the VAC for the Foz TMA AD.
• All IFR flights intending to operate in the Foz TMA or in the Cataratas, Foz and Guarani CTRs must carry communications EQPT allowing two-way contact with the corresponding ATS units.

Aprons and Taxiways

• ACFT the size of an E-145 or larger (inclusive) shall leave the apron by pushback.
• The parking apron has no tie-down points.

Runways

• Type of operation per runway/threshold:
  • RWY 15: VFR day/night and IFR precision CAT I day/night;
  • RWY 33: VFR day/night and IFR non-precision day/night.
• RWY 15/33: 180° turns for ACFT with a wingspan of 20m or more only in the turn pads.
• 180° turns (backtrack) for ACFT with MTOW above 40t only at the THR.

Additional Information

• Bird concentration (southern lapwing, rock dove, eared dove, burrowing owl, great kiskadee, smooth-billed ani, guira cuckoo and black vulture) in the TFC circuit, SECT APCH RWY 15/33 and on the LT (adjacent grass areas) of RWY 15/33.
