Operations
Approaches and Landings
- Use of the AD for ARR by CIV ACFT only with prior AUTH from the Commander of the Naval Air Force. For IFR approach procedures with a go-around at the MDA/DA, AUTH is given by São Pedro da Aldeia APP, subject to local traffic.
Aerodrome Regulations
- Night OPS for MIL ACFT only.
- The AD may be used regularly with RCD 2C.
- OBS Brazilian Navy ACFT and rotary-wing ACFT on training flights in the Aldeia CTR and near the AD.
- AFIL flight plans from ACFT taking off from AD without an ATS unit located within the lateral limits of the Aldeia ATZ/CTR will not be accepted by Aldeia APP/TWR.
- SBES GND accepts Simplified Flight Plans via radiotelephony only from Brazilian Navy ACFT taking off from SBES.
Runways
- Beware of the EMERG arresting gear for hook-equipped ACFT, consisting of steel cables laid across the RWY at each THR:
- Main gear: steel cable 3.5cm in diameter, 5cm above the RWY, located 540M from the THRs;
- Emergency gear: steel cables 3.0cm in diameter, 5cm above the RWY, located 210M from the THRs.
- Beware of a landing mirror 2.30M high located on the left side, 290M from THR 07/25 and 19M from the RWY centerline.
- Both SWYs are 100M x 30M.
