Operations

Departures

  • ENG start of DEP ACFT only AUTH from 05 MIN BFR EOBT.

Approaches and Landings

  • ACFT on an IFR flight plan to Corumbá shall establish communication with Puerto Suárez APP (118.500), or vice versa, in order to obtain information on converging TFC.
  • Holding at the same FL in the holding patterns of NDB CUB and PSZ, as well as simultaneous APCH PROC to the Corumbá and Puerto Suárez AD, are not permitted.
  • Instrument APCH to Corumbá AD may be flown using the Puerto Suárez (Bolivia) radio aid, or vice versa, with prior COOR between Corumbá AFIS and Puerto Suárez APP, when the destination AD radio aid is INOP.

Aerodrome Regulations

  • Corumbá AFIS OPR remotely from the CINDACTA II facilities. Area of responsibility corresponds to Class G ATS Airspace, within the Corumbá FIZ.
  • Specific PROC for COM contingencies:
    1. Use the RDO FREQ as FCA and squawk 7600 on the transponder;
    2. Perform the IFR IAC if AD MET INFO is obtained; if NEG, NO AUTH IFR LDG;
    3. Perform the SID if AD MET INFO is obtained; if NEG, NO AUTH IFR DEP;
    4. Observe the other ICA 100-12 rules for COM failure.
  • OBS VAC for joining or leaving the TFC circuit.
  • HEL TFC circuit shall be flown in the N SECT of the AD, HGT MNM 600FT (ALT MNM 1061FT); fixed-wing ACFT HGT MNM 1300FT (ALT MNM 1761FT).
  • On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, INTL general aviation flights are not permitted between 1130 and 1500 UTC. For INTL arrivals landing within this period, passengers and crew shall remain on board; INTL departures only after the end of this period.

Additional Information

  • Bird concentration in the MOV area and on final APCH to RWY 09/27 during day and night, with a greater collision risk at night.
