Operations
Aerodrome Regulations
- Civil ACFT OPS only with AUTH from the Commander of Afonsos Air Force Base.
- ACFT with DEST Afonsos shall make first contact with the BAAF Operations FREQ (122.950) in order to check the parking location and the required ground support.
- OBS VAC for joining or leaving the TFC circuit.
Aprons and Taxiways
- Engine checks on RWY 26 by ACFT lined up at position 3 are PRB.
- Use of the park apron for OPS related to the CAN is PRB. These OPS shall be carried out on the base apron; OPS on the park apron may be AUTH for ACFT carrying authorities.
Additional Information
- OBS bird concentration (vultures) in the TFC circuit.
- OBS concentration of kites near THR 26 and in the TFC circuit, mainly in JAN, FEB, JUL and DEC.
