Operations

Aerodrome Regulations

  • OPS of ACFT with AD RCD number 3 or 4 permitted only in Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC).
  • The AD may be used regularly by any ACFT compatible with RCD 4C or lower.
  • Visual circulation in the Belo Horizonte TMA follows AIC N 27/26 (details on the SBWH TMA page):
    • Aeroplanes arrive on REA ALFA (INTERSEÇÃO gate, RWY 13) or CHARLIE (PAZ gate, RWY 31), with APP clearance before SINUOSO or IBIRITÉ, or on REA DELTA (MINA gate). On RWY 13, via ALFA, head for the Mineirinho arena to join the circuit.
    • RWY 13 departures: turn right towards the PAZ gate, or left heading for position RIO to join REA DELTA.
    • RWY 31 departures: turn left towards the INTERSEÇÃO gate, or right towards the MINA gate, inside the ATZ, to join REA DELTA.
    • Helicopters: REH gates CEASA, CIDADE ADM, ETE, MATRIZ STA LUZIA and PARQUE, with APP clearance at the gate.

Aprons and Taxiways

  • RWY 13 holding point located on TWY A in front of the windsock.
  • Only start the ACFT engines once its pushback has reached the taxilane.
  • The taxiway along the edge of apron 2 shall only be used by aircraft with a wingspan of up to 15m.
